Information we process

We may store questions, submitted URLs, pasted article text, generated analyses, IP-derived security records, and technical logs needed to operate and protect the service. Member accounts also store a required country and only the state or town a member voluntarily chooses to provide. Do not submit confidential or sensitive personal information.

Private member history

A member’s search history is visible only inside that member’s account. Members can delete individual entries or clear all history. Deleting history removes the private account association; it does not remove the shared public evidence result or cached question used to make common checks faster.

How information is used

Information may be used to provide analyses, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, improve relevance and reliability, and understand aggregate product usage.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies may be used for security and session functions. If optional analytics are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls should be updated before they are enabled.

Location and first-party advertising

TruthQuery does not give a member’s saved country, state or town to advertisers or any other third party. Ad matching happens inside TruthQuery. Advertisers receive only ordinary aggregate view and click counts. Country-only members can receive global or country-wide campaigns; state and town campaigns are considered only when those optional fields were provided. Sponsors receive no ads while their status is active.

Approximate location detection runs only after a member clicks the detection button. It first uses location headers already supplied to TruthQuery by its hosting network. When those are unavailable, it can infer only a likely country from the browser’s timezone or language. It does not request GPS coordinates or contact a third-party geocoding service.

Sponsorship payments

When sponsor checkout is enabled, Stripe processes the payment. TruthQuery sends the member email, selected support tier and payment amount so the payment can be completed, but does not send saved country, state or town preferences. Stripe’s own privacy terms apply to information entered on its checkout page.

AI and search providers

When external providers are configured, submitted content and derived search queries may be sent to those providers to perform the requested analysis. Their privacy terms may also apply. Demo mode does not perform a live provider search.

Retention and security

Public result links may remain accessible until removed. Operational logs should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary. No service can promise absolute security.

A production policy should state the applicable contact channel and the rights available under the laws governing the service and its users.
